Pennsylvania Educators of Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing is a non-profit organization committed to educational improvements which will directly benefit the students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Pennsylvania schools. In an effort to promote harmony and professional growth among its members, PESDHH hosts an annual convocation to provide educational programs for individuals preparing for or working in educational fields relating to hearing loss. Additionally, a membership newsletter and web page provide additional means for the organization to share information throughout the year.
The theme of the next convocation will be "21st Century Learners." The convocation will be on October 3, 2009 and will be held at Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.

At our business meeting we had to say good bye to Bill Hudson, our out going president. Bill has served two-two year terms and as outlined in the bylaws is no longer allowed to serve.
We also have to say good bye to Nan Rodgers. Nan is in the middle of her term as vice president but has joined the state licensure board as the representative for teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing. With this commitment she is not able to give the time to PESDHH that is necessary. She has promised to stay involved and help the new officers.

We welcome all new members to our organization. Please if you haven't joined yet go to the membership page and get the information. We would love to welcome more new members and discussion has already begun on how to make PESDHH a more useful organization.
